Deep Sea Fishing Adventure
Head out from The Gambia’s coast on a thrilling deep sea fishing trip with local fishermen — chase Barracuda, Snapper, Tuna, and more as you explore the Atlantic in true Gambian style.
Embark on an unforgettable Deep Sea Fishing Adventure off the stunning Gambian coastline — an experience that blends excitement, skill, and the thrill of the open ocean. Known locally as Sport Fishing, this activity offers something for everyone, from seasoned anglers to first-time adventurers.
Your journey begins with a short scenic transfer to Denton Bridge or a nearby beach, where your speedboat and local fishing crew will be waiting. After a short safety and technique briefing, the fishermen will prepare your rods, bait, and tackle before setting off across the sparkling Atlantic waters.
Depending on the time of year and sea conditions, you can choose between two fishing styles:
- Deep Sea Trolling: Venture into open waters and test your skill against large game fish such as Barracuda, Red Snapper, Captain Fish, Grouper, and even Tuna. Using rod, line, and spinner, you’ll experience the true thrill of sport fishing.
- Bottom Fishing: When the boat is anchored, use a weighted line and bait to catch delicious species like Butterfish, Lady Fish, and Grouper — a calmer but equally rewarding style of fishing.
Every trip is guided by experienced local fishermen who know the tides, the fish, and the rhythms of the sea. Whether you’re chasing your first big catch or just looking to enjoy the ocean breeze and sunshine, this adventure delivers an authentic taste of Gambian coastal life.
